CES 2011: Dell Venue Officially Launched

We not too long ago spotted the Dell(Dell laptop battery) Venue listed around the Dell India website and also have been awaiting its arrival. With the on-going Customer Electronics Show 2011 in Las Vegas, Dell has formally announced the Venue handset working Google Android 2.2 Froyo. Venue flaunts a 4.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen show with Gorilla Glass and can pack a 1GHz Qualcomm processor. Just like other handset makers, Dell has not announced the pricing and availability on the handset. Do note that this handset will be marketed unlocked specifically from Dell.

Dell Venue has four.1-inch WVGA (800x480) capacitive AMOLED display backed with Gorilla Glass technologies and offers 24-bit colour graphics. It houses 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD 8250 processor with 512MB RAM and 1GB ROM. Venue runs the Google Android 2.2 Froyo with Dell Stage UI layered through it. Stage UI arrives with widgets meant to assist you organize music, videos and images. With 1GB storage offered on-board, you may often add up to 32GB microSD card to it.

Venue gives an eight megapixel digital camera with LED Flash, autofocus, 4x Digital Zoom, and geo-tagging. The back again panel camera will allow you to record 720p HD video together with the 8 megapixel camera but not 1080p HD, considering that the 1GHz Scorpion core does not support it. Other features include things like Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, Wi-Fi, ActiveSync, Microsoft Exchange assistance, Website 2.0 HTML supporting mobile browser, microUSB port and 3.5mm audio port. It's not clear whether this mobile phone will give Stereo FM Radio. Packing 1400mAh battery, we are able to count on a respectable battery life from this Android device.
